She has countless achievements, foremost is being an accredited member of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). She assisted in the accreditation of almost 100 state colleges and universities including BSU that enabled them to institute quality education, an integral part of their vision, in becoming globally competitive. She was a member in almost all the accreditation of programs at BSU. During her stint, BS Nursing attained Level IV, the highest category in accreditation. Almost all programs at BSU also attained Level III. The University of Rizal System (URS) where she is Professor VI, also attained Level III accreditation before her retirement. At URS, she developed 15 various instructional and 18 resource materials to meet some requirements in program accreditation.

She dedicated 46 years service in the government. She managed different tasks as Livestock Extension Technician, Secondary School Teacher, then rose from Instructor to Professor. Through the years, she held various designations as School Farming Coordinator, Director for Research, Dean of the Institute of Agriculture, and Campus Coordinator/Director. One notable project is the Macapuno Tissue Culture Lab.

On community development, she serves as chairperson of a local cooperative, and a mentor to the “Gabay, Tulay at Kaagapay” of 4P’s, a BBEDASAL KA-DSWD Convergence Program. For her accomplishments, she received various awards as Most Outstanding College Faculty among others.

Dr. Gapido is proud that she participated in the accreditation of SUCs thru AACCUP as well as in the conversion of Rizal State College into a University Rizal System.
