Dr. Mula had a decade of science-based development work. Her most notable work was when she served as Coordinator of the Special Project and Learning Systems Unit (LSU) at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) in India. She led the institutionalization of guidelines in recruiting learner-participants and forged partnerships with state universities and colleges and national agricultural research and extension systems across the globe.

For 10 years, she was involved in impact assessment studies, gender-related issues in community watersheds, and use of ICT in extension methodologies. She designed various capacity-building activities, course materials on on-line courses and virtual administration, served as resource person in training programs, and published various articles on gender-based climate change initiatives that led their team to receive the Doreen Mashler Award, ICRISAT’s highest scientific award, for their outstanding contributions in research and development.

In 2019, she became the Assist. Director of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and was involved in the realization of “Masaganang Ani, Mataas na Kita”, Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Extension Services Program and further promoted ATI’s e-Learning among others.

Dr. Mula has been a faculty member of BSU, PSAU, DMMMSU, and St. Louis University. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy at the Wageningen Agricultural University in The Netherlands.
