Edgar is one of the few OFWs in King Fahd Military Medical Complex Dhahran, a respectable military hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is a Clinical Instructor in charge of planning, implementing, and evaluating training programs, and other educational activities. With his enabling tasks, he helped improve the capability of nurses and the health care services of the hospital.

To serve his kababayans he volunteers as Training Officer at Total Care International (composed of Filipino Organizations), under the Philippine Consulate Cultural Affairs on its OFW Community Re-integration Program. This enabled many of the OFWs to find better jobs and performed better after they were trained in Care Giving and Nurse Aide Program.

While overseas, he continued serving the Cordillera Youths. He created a Facebook page, “Cordillera Shoutouts”, where active interactions and discussions on health-related issues are done especially among nursing students. He recently conducted a story Writing Contest called “Bayan Ko, Proud Ako for Cordillerans”.

Edgar worked in various institutions, first at Saint Louis University School of Nursing as a Clinical Instructor and then at Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center as Training Officer. He served as Staff Nurse at Northern Benguet District Hospital, Clinical Instructor at Benguet Learning Center for preceptorship of students on caregiving courses. He said his notable service to BSU was, “being a Clinical Instructor at the College of Nursing for 6 years.”

He is a licensed Nurse, a Prometric Nurse Specialist, and a holder of the National Council License for Nurses enabling him to work overseas in various countries.
